The Team
Todd Schramke
Todd Schramke is a filmmaker and musician originally from New Jersey, now based in Nashville. He started producing both videos and music autodidactically around age 12 with whatever equipment he could get his hands on. At 13 he started playing in bands, and at 18 he began producing professional video content while studying journalism at Rutgers University.
From 2016-2022 he directed the HBO Originals 6-part documentary series, The Anarchists, which follows a community of self-proclaimed “anarchist” ex-pats as they try to build their dream society, only to find their pursuit of a stateless life derailed by human conflict.
In 2019 he was the cinematographer for the indie comedy-drama feature, Generation Wrecks.
His commercial credits include a range of business and nonprofit clients spanning across corporate, retail, real estate, politics, sports, and performing arts. Notable clients include the New York Yankees, Greyhound, and Mohawk Flooring.
Kim Kylland
Kim Kylland is a producer, songwriter, vocalist, and sound recordist.
Her journey as a creative began with a deep love for writing songs on guitar around the age of 12. By 18, Kim was making a living in Dublin, Ireland as a singer-songwriter, and has since performed her music in more than a dozen countries.
Kim has sound mixed several projects with Oscar-nominated, Emmy award-winning director Lucy Walker, including Bring Your Own Brigade, and How To Change Your Mind, a Netflix original series helmed by Oscar/Emmy award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney.
Her biggest project to date is The Anarchists, a six part HBO series that Kim co-created and executive produced with her husband, director Todd Schramke. Kim and Todd spent six years filming (almost entirely as a two-person sound and camera team) before partnering with LA-based production company Blumhouse in 2021.
The Anarchists is out now on HBO, and also features original music by Kylland.
